100% Zomer transformed de Slinger Utrecht. From an old school social business network to a new integrated sustainable city business network. We created an enabling environment for this change and got the support from old and current partners. Marije van Zomeren guided the first phase implementation as a temporary transformation director.

Who: The board of the Slinger Utrecht provided the assignment.
Why: 100% Zomer was asked to transform this old school social business network in Utrecht. This was once a vibrant network started by the former director of McKinsey company. Now it was losing her partners to other more contemporary networks.
Results:
- A SWOT of the Slinger Utrecht. 100% Zomer did a scan among (former) partners and stakeholders that provided insight in the past, present and proposed future of this network.
- Co-creation sessions and vibrant network meetings with partners and stakeholders. That led to a new mission/vision and value proposition. The old board approved this new proposition.
- As a temporary business director Marije van Zomeren built the organization.
- She started new forms of communication and co-creation by introducing visualization and design thinking sessions.
- In cooperation with a web/seo design bureau 100% Zomer developed a new logo and website.
- Besides she designed and executed a research with 25 students of the Utrecht University, the Faculty of Social Innovation. A cross-section of 50 businesses were interviewed on their vision and actions regarding sustainable enterprising in and for Utrecht.
- Marije van Zomeren involved her interdisciplinary network of organizations and around 15 experts to get the network further transformed.
- She managed to get new partners on board such as ING bank, Ibis hotels and The Enterprise fund Utrecht.
- The first phase was completed by a large event called ‘the Outbreak Utrecht’, held in the former prison Wolvenplein in Utrecht. The goal of the event was to inform and provide an experience of what the next economy means for SME business in Utrecht. The first concept was created by 100% Zomer and further developed with Snijboon & Zo, Explorama events, Bakx & Meier catering and students of the University of Arts in Utrecht. The event was overbooked and we received many positive responses. Mission accomplished!
